Behind The Working Creator

Meet the person behind the channel.

The Working Creator is a one-person operation — written, researched, filmed, and answered by Matt.

The Working Creator is written, researched, and hosted by Matt — who spent about fourteen years building a career on the design side of a hands-on trade, then took a hard left in the middle of it and bought a struggling company with a partner. Starting over mid-career, it turns out, is excellent training for telling other people it's survivable.

“I was a beginner again at an age when you're supposed to have it figured out. That's the whole reason this channel exists.”

Every episode starts with a real obstacle instead of a topic — the fear of the first video, the blank page where a niche should be, the quiet third month when nobody is watching. It's researched, written in plain language, and ends with one small thing you can do this week. No hype, no promises about money, no pretending it moves faster than it does.

If you email the channel, Matt is the one who reads it and the one who writes back.
