Privacy Policy

Plain English, no surprises. Here's what we collect, why we collect it, and how to tell us to stop.

Last updated: August 20, 2026

The Working Creator ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit theworkingcreator.com, join our newsletter, download a free resource, buy something from us, or send us a message — how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our site, you agree to this policy.

The short version

We collect your first name and email when you ask us to send you something. We use it to send you what you asked for and our weekly newsletter. We don't sell your information, we don't trade your email address, and there's an unsubscribe link in every message. That's most of it — the rest is detail.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you subscribe to our newsletter, request a free blueprint or challenge sheet, buy a product, or contact us, we collect what you provide — typically your first name and email address, and anything you choose to include in a message to us.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we may automatically collect basic usage information when you visit — your browser type, device, approximate location, the page that referred you, and the pages you view — through cookies, similar technologies, and analytics tools.

Information from the services we use. The providers that help us run The Working Creator may collect information on our behalf — for example, whether you opened an email or clicked a link — so we can understand what people actually find useful.

Payment information. If you buy something, payment is handled by our store and payment providers. We receive a record of the purchase; we do not receive or store your full card number.

How we use your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we don't rent or trade your email address.

The services we use

We keep our stack small and boring on purpose. These are the providers that process information on our behalf:

beehiiv — newsletter Google Analytics 4 — site analytics Gumroad and Stan — digital store Fourthwall — merchandise

beehiiv stores your name and email address and sends our newsletter and the free resources you requested. It records basic email engagement, such as opens and clicks. Google Analytics 4 helps us understand how the site is used — which pages get read, which don't — and sets its own cookies to do it. Gumroad and Stan handle checkout and delivery for digital products, and process your payment. Fourthwall handles merchandise orders, payment, and shipping, which means it needs a shipping address for physical items.

We also use standard infrastructure to keep the site online and our email working — a domain and hosting provider, and a business email provider. Each of these providers has its own privacy policy, and each may only use your information to perform services for us.

Email and marketing

If you subscribe, we'll send you our newsletter and occasional updates about new content and products. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time — we'll stop sending marketing emails promptly. We may still send you essential messages tied to something you asked for or bought, such as delivering a file or a receipt.

Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used. Google Analytics 4 sets its own cookies for this purpose. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and where required we'll ask for your consent first. Turning off some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.

Affiliate links

Some links on our site — for example, to gear or tools we mention — may be affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. See our Disclaimer for more.

Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers listed above and with any others that help us run The Working Creator — such as our website host and business email provider. We may also disclose information if we're required to by law, if we need to protect our rights or someone's safety, or in connection with a business transfer such as a sale of assets.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your subscription is active, or as long as we need it to provide what you asked for — and afterwards only as long as necessary for legitimate business or legal reasons, such as keeping records of a purchase. If you unsubscribe and ask us to delete your data, we'll do that, subject to any records we're required by law to keep.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, to receive a copy of your data, and to withdraw consent. This includes rights under the EU and UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). You can unsubscribe from any email at any time using the link in it, and you can exercise your other rights by emailing us at info@theworkingcreator.com. We won't treat you differently for exercising these rights.

Children's privacy

Our site and content are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 16. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, and we rely on established providers who do the same. That said, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

International visitors

We operate in the United States, and your information may be processed and stored there, or in other countries where our service providers operate. By using our site, you understand your information may be transferred to countries with different data-protection laws than your own.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if we change one of the services we use. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and post the revised policy on this page. Continuing to use the site means you accept the updated policy.
